Mallard in Flight

The mallard window is made from semi-transparent and opalescent glasses. It was created before I had learned how to paint and fire glass. If I were to re-create the mallard today, I would paint the feathers and shadow details. I would leave the water and sky alone. To this day the use of these colors are my favorite combination of sky and water. The hills are of a glass called Hartley Wood, made in England, and is no longer being manufactured.
