3 Window Transom

In 1997 the original window was destroyed in a fire.  Over the years the original owner had collected many cast glass squares produced by the “American Luxfer Prism Company”.  They currently are a collectible item.

I was given the tiles to create a new set of windows.  There were not enough of the prismatic clear tiles but there were some 36 additional purple tiles and 54 tiles with intricate patterns cast into the surface.

The windows were assembled with 5/16” solid copper flat H-caimes which matched the windows original profile.  By using solid copper, the life of the window should last considerably longer when compared to the lifespan of a leaded glass window.
