This is the second window of the pair which is located in the entrance of Trinity Episcopal Church, in historic downtown Lawrence. The designs in both windows are similar that is the outer and inner borders, the diamond quarry pattern, and the graduated blue glass which represents the heavens. The triadic shape shows the shield or coat of arms of the Episcopal church. The cross is of the same red glass that is found on the inner border. The bottom and top right quadrants, within the shield, is a Kokomo glass termed smooth catspaw. It is a clear with just a small amount of white opal.
In this detail a different set of symbols are represented within the circle. The most important beliefs and ideologies of the individual are memorialized. The oak leaf cluster represents the military rank which was attained. The anchor sets the basis for the beliefs in the church which is flanked by the alpha and omega symbol. The ship is to show the love for sailing ships.
